If it rain in the morning I'm still hoping for snow later moving in from the North Sea with more favourable conditions.

At 9am though when it's supposed to be the most marginal, what does it say after?

Sky still looking quite broken here in the last bits of light

Blizzards for sure at t120

yep and it downgraded its t60 output so i expect the chances of t120 verifying as zero

I have noticed that the easterly around midweek has been downgraded yet again, looks like being cold and dry. If tomorrow is a non event then that only leves Tuesday to salvage this week!

I agree it wont be so bad if we can get a bit of snow on the ground which will then stick for a few days but i am highly concerned whether we will get that snow now

If we dont it will be a massive balls up by the met office who have put warnings up in our region for snow

Looks like it will start as rain, latest BBC graphic shows heavy rain across the region tomorrow morning.

Turns to snow in the afternoon.

Oh, and light rain tonight.

If I had to call this I'd go for sleety snow all morning, then floods of tears in the afternoon :p

So basically an incredibly promising week is fast turning into a heartbreaker on pretty much every day it was forecast to snow.

The Met office have now issued an amber warning for snow for the NE

A band of sleet and snow is expected to move eastwards across the region during Monday morning and early afternoon, clearing from the west through the afternoon, but possibly becoming slow moving over North Sea coastal counties during the evening. Snowfalls of 2-5 cm at low levels and as much as 10 cm above 150 metres are likely to occur, mostly within a 3 to 4 hour period.

Valid 9am to 11pm

That shows snow for me so will take that, very marginal for monday but these situations always are. I wouldent place to much faith in even the high res models even they can get it totally wrong.

For me its a case of radar watching and reports from other people in the region always the best way in these situations.

We're bound to still get snow at some stage by Tuesday morning, but whether that will be a few inches or a few millimetres is yet to be seen.

I think outside of 3am-12pm tomorrow it should be all snow, but my main worry is that we'll hardly have any precipitation except from during that timeframe.

I predict a wasted 6 quid on a snow shovel.

The NAE is predicting dew points above freezing tomorrow - yet another sign that this'll be a non event! I always try not to get excited over frontal snow, but I just can't help myself as we have had a couple of decent events in the past so I keep thinking it'll happen again!

Not looking good anymore for low lying areas, at this point i would be more than happy with a few centimeters and some cold temperatures later in the week.

Yep that pretty much sums it up, i am particularly disapointed about late tue/wed/thur as i thought we had nailed convection on those days now it seems we have only got a slight window on tue afternoon for a few hours and that will also probably downgrade, unbelievable

Latest from Liam Dutton

MONDAY: Snow now looks most likely for E. Anglia, Home Counties, E. Mids, NE Eng and E'ern Scot. 3-7cm with more over hills.

And Chris Fawkes

Snow reported in northwest England. Fancy central and eastern parts may get pretty snowy. Check BBC news for latest forecast detail.

I wouldn't rule any snow out yet many could get a pleasant surprise tomorrow
