Snowing quite heavily in Darlington - cant see if its covering the melt.

Not laying on the surface yet we need bigger flakes

Snow coming down faster now

yeah and the flakes are getting bigger, looking on the radar should have at least half an hour of this

This looks set in for a while now with no wind its only moving very slowly flakes are getting bigger now

Hmm its starting to lightly snow here again, strange

Its snowing lightly here too, and it never stopped after the last shower!

Well the heavy looking blob of snow headed for Newton Aycliffe dramatically weakened and thinned as it approached town, the heaviest stuff skirting to the south of town - so prospects look a bit better for Darlo getting heavier and more persistent snow.

Net result here - 20 minutes of moderate wet snow that has now stopped, which added basically zero to the snow cover, other than a slushy mess on cars. Waste of time. Absolute waste of time.

This looks set in for a while now no sign of any blue sky setting everywhere now

The road is now white infact everywhere is white

Eased now still very grey though

looks like its about to stop, nice covering tho 2-3cm aprox

also looking at the radar most of the showers are moving further down the coast south west so i think thats it for the day here in darlo
