An almost cloudless night with a persistent f3 NW breeze. The first air frost of 2013 ( just ) and no sunshine as yet as a large bank of Ci and Ac has developed in the south western quadrant of the sky.

At 0900;

Temp; 0.0c

24 hr min' ; -0.1c

Grass min' ; -2.6c

Rainfall in 24 hrs ending 0900, nil

Thursday 10th January 2013:

Freezing fog lifted in to low cloud for a time through the early hours. Fog reformed just before dawn, though with the temperature slightly above freezing by then. Low –1.3c with –5,5c on the grass. At observation, thick fog, visibility <100 Yards.

Today's readings for the 24 hrs up to 09:00 GMT:

Maximum temperature to 18:00 GMT yesterday: 5.9°C

Minimum temperature overnight: -1.3°C

24-hour maximum 5.5°C

24-hour minimum: -1.3°C

Minimum temperature on grass: -5.5°C

Maximum wind gust: (Midnight to Midnight) 9.1 mph WNW

At observation, sunny, frost. The remained fine with sunny spells, less mild than recently. The evening soon turned frosty under a clear sky. Thick freezing fog formed around 22:00 GMT.

Clear and frosty last night.

Sunny to 10am, then cloudy but turned foggy 11-1230. Cloudy pm, spells of rain 1330 -1900. LIttle wind until this evening, when there has been a moderate to fresh NW breeze.
