Well what can you say!

Another tremendous run from the GFS with plenty of snow chances, harsh frosts. Synoptics that really you can only dream about in the UK.

It really doesn't get better than this. I expect they'll be a record turnout in the morning. I used to stay up sometimes in the UK to watch the 00hrs come out but with the hour time difference a bit too late even for me!

Has the earth decided to start spinning the wrong way round in FI? PV absolutely obliterated and easterlies galore!

That's just for fun though, the key thing is yet more consistency in the short term, and the cold uppers starting to come into the genuine realistic time frame now. For example, this is the +96 chart, no doubt bringing snow for much of the UK as cold air is dragged with it.

Almost into the reliable time period, but need these charts to still be appearing within +72 hours range.
