Morning folks.

A rare event these days it's happening right now. A prolonged windy spell of weather. Starting yesterday evening and continuing.

Very mild temp 10.2C

Wind f6 gusting 58 mph

Turning very mild once again overnight, also with a strong southerly wind. At observation, dry, overcast, very mild, windy.

Rainfall update: Total for the years so far has just reached 994.8mm, by far the wettest year on local record going back to 1991. The previous wettest year was 2000, which with an annual total of 835mm.

Variable cloud overnight and clear spells, turning quite windy again with westerly gusts to 27 mph. Low 3.0c, no ground frost as the wind prevented the grass thermometer falling any lower than 0.5c. At observation, mostly clear, dry. The morning saw sunny spells and a few light showers. The afternoon turned rather more cloudy, though still with a few brighter spells. There were also a few light showers which continued in to the early evening, breezy. By mid evening the SW wind was strong.

Another very wet and dull day after a brief dryer spell overnight allowing things to dry out a little.

Currently 8.8c with moderate rain in a light westerly however it was gusting up to 35kts earlier.

Could do with no rain for a couple of weeks to let the garage and garden dry out!

Mostly cloudy afternoon with the odd light shower. The remains of another band of showers just passing through now producing another 0.2mm of rain.
