Well I was way out for December, so may as well go bold for January... I'd like 1.7c please, a bitter end to the month following a mild start (my method: hopecasting acute.gif )

Similiar to above with a Cet estimation around 2.5*C - a warmish start followed by a possible colder, blocked end to the month with High-Pressure systems and Stratosphere warming events attempting to have a duel with the evil Polar Vortex.

Provisional prediction of 3.4C, quite a bit higher than my LRF but clearly the cold first week isn't going to happen and will instead be replaced by some average to above average temperatures for the CET zone (although perhaps not that much above given it looks like northerly toppler then HP building from the south). Second week probably largely settled with still the chance the jet riding over for a time though, trending colder as the month goes on though would be my bet with the real cold coming in the final third.

Like many,it seems that the first 10 days or so will be on the mild side.Thereafter I feel it's likely to become progressively colder .....looking like a game of two halves..will each cancel the other out? I ain't go the foggiest!! But I'm guessing it will be near average. So. 4.5c please

I'm going to go for a near average month, my projection is 4.3 degrees. A mild first half offset by a colder second half, with the core of the cold coming in the last week.

I suspect February will end up being the coldest month of this winter..

A rather mild 5.7C

Im tempted to go much milder looking that the models, but hold out some hope of something a little colder later on.

I'm going to go with a 2.5, I don't think the weather will be mild for long, there are some colder signs showig already, and we will be under a northwest flow for a bit as the high makes it's way over. I expect either cloud or fog to keep the temps down while under the high depending on where the high centers it's self.

After days' and days' intense calculus, and helped by my latest method, SHAT7, I'll guess at 3.0C...
