Good Morning ,

Blilliant sunny morning after a overnight frost. You will be able to see fog in the valley and likely to stay there for most of the day with temperatures reaching only 3c. Higher valleys could reach 13c with hair dryer conditions and 9c at 2000m level.

A dry night with clear intervals during the early evening. Cloud thickened steadily from late evening and light rain arrived by 0700, thick hill fog developed around 0500.

Currently overcast and foggy with continuous light-moderate rain.

About as unfestive as it could get - been raining moderately for hours. Temperature sensor has stopped working but certainly not going out there while its like this to fix it!

Well its been raining here for the past 3 hours. Temperature a little over 6 degrees. I cant remember the last time it actually rained over the Christmas period.

An overnight high of 8.6°C here and a low this morning of 5.6°C its now drizzling and the temperature is once again rising now up to 6.3°C

Drove to MIdlands this afternoon, encountered floods in the Leamington Spa area, just passable. Also the Wye and Severn were badly flooded at Ross on Wye and Tewkesbury, both rivers at least half mile wide!

Here at Rugby this evening:

Coudy, recent heavy shower. Local park flooded.

Church Lawford readings today (2 miles from here):

Very mild again, and wet too, with persistent light to moderate rain from mid morning finally clearing by mid afternoon. More showery rain this evening. Maximum 12.5, minimum 7.4. Wind moderate S.
