You've done way better than I've ever done with wild deer, except for once in the Cotswolds, when one nearly ran into me! No chance of a photo then though smile.png

Well obviously having a 3000 acre deer park IMBY is an advantage ( http://www.woburn.co...bbey/deer-park/ ) I was a bit disappointed not to have seen any big reds this morning, here are some from a very similar day in 2010....

Very glad to here about your mum Kate, Not a nice experiance at all. Still wont be to long and the milder set up will be here. As much as we crave for cold and snow,At least people will be able to get about and see family at Christmas time and not worry about travelling. Anyway we can all wait for the next snow event on the return to work, and get a few extra days off....Lovely.

Temp has reached the dizzy heights of -1C in west London, can't see it get any higher now, so first ice day of the season. The hoar frost hasn't melted too.

Same here! -1C has been our warmest and now dropping again. That's 2 (tiny) snow falls and an ice day this autumn/winter. I didn't know things like this happened inside the M25! Whatever next....??

So many fantastic photos on this thread today!

Temperatures in some areas tonight falling to around -5C or -6C, so hopefully some decent wintry scenes tomorrow too. After tomorrow though, the Atlantic returns...

Judging by the model output - for now we are stuck with low pressure sandwhiched between a Greenland High and a Siberian High.

Or as I like to say it - caught between a rock, and a hard place

Gah! No warnings for our neck of the woods then. Seems like we're gonna be stuck with dull, wet and grim. One compensation would be some high winds. :o

Oh how I wish that was true

Edit: No,just had a look and true enough. Limpit surface high over greenland and blocking Siberian High.

Not much good for us unsure.png

I'm not sure they will be that high in your neck of the woods K, I'll check them out tomorrow morning though.

Very Cold indeed this morning as it got down to -4C! lovely hoar frost around the Shoreham area too which almost made it look like snow, shame it's turning milder because even without snow cold and dry alone can be beautiful and fun to watch.

Even the UHI effect can't overcome a cold inversion sometimes in the suburbs of London and also bitterly cold easterlies. In central London though - think it got up to +1C today.
