On the chart.. am I following the GEFS Control and GFS Operational lines to establish some kind of a trend? ( I assume that as they are the more prominent) but what about the GEFS Mean? is this line a average of the Control and Operational?

The mean is the average of the ten different members run, i.e. the most likely outcome based on the ten differing member's runs (all adjusted). The control is the unadjusted run. The closer the control sticks to the mean, the more likely the predictive outcome will match to the reality.

All I can hear is drip drip coming off the trees on to the ground and my head! Reminds me of a melting snowfall yet this time I've not actually seen any snow )-:

I went out about an hour ago, but probably past the best time of day for ice here - it was falling off the trees. I took a few shots of the village near my workplace.

Great shot of the deer Ali! smile.png I guess he scarpered about 1/1000 of a second later?biggrin.png

You've done way better than I've ever done with wild deer, except for once in the Cotswolds, when one nearly ran into me! No chance of a photo then though smile.png

The rime has nearly all gone here now.

Just want to put a warning out for ice on the roads.

My mum just had a bad accident on a country road in Barns Green - near Horsham Sussex, she turned the car over on the roof, shes okay thank goodness.

Please everyone drive carefully, pass the word on to anyone driving on the country roads.

A sentiment we all share Kate, metal can be replaced, people can't. I hope she's not too shaken :good:

I second that, just because it looks so beautiful and wintery out there it can be utterly dangerous; hope she is feeling okay smile.png

Temp has reached the dizzy heights of -1C in west London, can't see it get any higher now, so first ice day of the season. The hoar frost hasn't melted too.

Had to go to Guildford today, wow is all that i can say. Ont the A3 down from the M25 there was a slight covering on the trees of frost. same as I was getting in to Guildford, within 100 yards the frost all of a sudden become VERY thick, like a snowfall. I took some pics on my iPhone. These were taken around 13:30
