Was -4,8c when I went outside at 8.20am, now got up to the dizzy heights of -3.1c. Lovely crisp, sunny day.

Looking set for the first ice day since last winter with fog holdng the current temperature to -0.6c and falling after maxxing at -0.4c so far.

The day started clear and frosty but low cloud and then fog formed before the sun was able to shine.

We're 500 miles south of the Western Isles, but it's definitely colder here... cold.gif Clear and very cold with frost persisting on the ground all day. Currently clear, -1.3 deg C, wind light NW. Today's maximum 1.7, last night's minimum -2.6.
