So is that East Ayton you're at, almost looking towards Staxton? 0.7 here now, DP -2. Light patch of blue over us on the radar, but just an odd flake in the wind. Mmmm flake, the crumbliest, flakiest type of snow.

I'm in Eastfield. Quite high up at 88m. It is looking toward Staxton though. You can see RAF Staxton in the top right. We do have some cracking views here. Still the odd flake blowing about but much. Sky is darkening a lot though.

Yep, looking out towards the pennines and it's grey low cloud, and there is a very light drizzle in the wind.

Roll on next week by the looks of things so far.

Interesting. Didn't the BBC graphics show a gap in the precipitation yesterday evening, with it then reforming in the east as it appears to be at the moment?

and lincolnshire. Thankfully the pennines won't be a problem next week for eastern areas with the NE wind.

Very slow progress from the band with the temperature at 2C although amazingly the sky looks to be clearing over the city center.

This slowing down of the front and heavier precipitation may well work in our favour as the temperature drops during the latter part of the afternoon.

Currently light rain in Otley.

Will see what the top of the Chevin has falling out of the sky at 240M on the way back home later..laugh.png

Scratch that, its just really high white cloud which looks blue because of the fading light.

Due to the delay in the front arriving light rain here another none event here. Looking at the Radar play back the main area of activity has stalled and not moved SE for the last 50 mins

Just been up to the viewpoint on the a640 Rochdale (from Huddersfield) road. Left my house-1.5 degrees-rain/poss sleet (I live 194m ASL)-3 miles or so out of Outlane to the viewpoint for Marsden Moor (350/400m ASL i think??)-last mile to that was almost a whiteout-roads NOT good-minus one on car thermometer. Settling snow down to Outlane (I only live 1 1/2 miles away!)-yet parked at Sainsburys in Salendine Nook (probably 180/190 m ASL)-car thermometer says -0.5c but SLEETY RAIN-wahts that all about-or is my car thermometer a bit dodge??!

Temperature up to 3.1C, I'll be surprised if I see any advance on sleet from this.
