You NW lot need to head up to the Lakes - look how much snow there is in Ambleside!

http://www.ambleside...cam/webcam.html

EDIT: Grasmere had a lot earlier, but its thawing now:

http://lakedistrict-...last-ten-hours/

Nothing like that now, melted at valley levels. Looking at the various cams across the area looks like the parts that had snow actually got most of it yesterday evening.

Just got an early dart from work, heavy rain here temp 5.1c? not sure how accurate it is, it feels soo much colder. Think it will be rain all the way for us here in the NW, Irsh sea will keep the snow away............for now

I bet the people in the south west may complain how much rain they get there. Maybe some of their homes already flooded as we speak. Its good old British weather isnt it?

Just dropped in to the NW thread but god do you have some issues lol people can put whatever charts they want on here unless you have become the chief exec of Netweather.tv - it is the weather and we are all here to enjoy or cry at the outputs in laymans terms....

Chill oot man!!

is this thread all you dreamed of and more? lol

From what I can tell of the models and radar, this is only the start of the band of ppn pushing down from the West North West. Hopefully it should get heavier this evening and then turn more wintery for most. Pennine skirting areas might get a decent dumping later.

Its absoloutley lashing it down here at the moment. Fields were full of frozen water this morning ... hmm something to think about I'd reckon theres quite a bit of run off for some areas that don't need it.

Well the NMM says the following:

Temperature: 5-6C widely

Dewpoint: 2-3C widely

Uppers: -3/-4

So god knows what the NAE has latched on to...
