Hi,

I've got a problem, in this case related with GFS analysis. I've downloaded several files from the ftp for the GFS-ANL_004 (0.5º x 0.5º resolution) (, and when I open the files with CDO I find that there is no data for meridional wind, and yes for u and w wind components, and another 12 variables. Why? Is this because v-wind must be calculated?
