Slightly breezy currently 10.5c with moderate rain which has been falling most of the night, my garden is like a mud bath, why does it always rain heavy when I have put lawn seed down, I give up

A real soaking here overnight. 35.4mm since midnight on top of the 16mm yesterday. Water Water everywhere. Currently drying up from the south and the very dull start is slowly lifting.

A cloudy night with long periods of light-moderate rain. Hill fog developed during the early hours and became thick before dawn.

So far this morning it's been overcast with light-moderate rain and a few brief bursts of heavy rain.

Yesterday's rain continued into today, becoming heavy at times, before finally dying out at lunchtime. Cloudy and dry in the afternoon, with sunny intervals in the last hour or so. Still cool and breezy. Maximum 14.5, minimum 10.1. Wind moderate W.

Continuous moderate-heavy rain all morning and until around 1500 g.m.t.The rain then cleared to the north and it became dry but remained cloudy. Hill fog for most of the morning but visibility increased to exc' once the rain cleared.

Local rail services affected due to flooding on the line (makes a change from leaves!)
