It's been pretty damp in dreary this afternoon after a nice morning......and traipsing around Swindon, xmas shopping in the damp & cold made it feel all the more drearier

Same here really, thought your weather would have been better

It was beautiful this morning Mark, crystal clear, but it was that weakening warm front dropping down through the region that has put a dampener (literally) on procedings

So -2.6c on the Mendips and -0.9c in Warminster, what minima did other people record?

And was it your coldest minimum since 18 March like for me?

Managed -2.1C here, but i haven't checked to see when it was last colder.

Looks like a couple of dry and rather sunny days coming up now. With the milder temperatures too, it may feel rather pleasant at times, especially compared to of late.

A dry and bright start across our area this morning with temperatures on the rise to normal for November levels. Currently near 8C.

Rather chilly feeling out there still this morning. Thought it would feel a little milder than what it is.

Currently 6.8c and sunny.

Quite a dull entry on my return to the South West today. Left a Sunny West Midlands region to a dull South West on the whole especially Devon onwards.

Just wondering how people fared last weekend, brought the Express on monday and only just got round to reading it, is it another OTT express headline or did anyone get 6 inches?

A rather overcast start as the remains of the weak cold front clear away South. reasobaly mild and not too windy though. Currently near 8C.

I think 3-5 inches is a fair assessment of what actually happened around here so for once, the Express isn't too far out.

Another nice sunny start here today. Turning into quite a bright and sunny week this week, although to me it doesn't feel overly mild.

Now this chart looks very similar to the pattern seen the year before last when we had a very cold December, it will be interesting to see what the next run brings in a couple of hours time.

It was fairly accurate I think to be fair. I had around 4 inches but high ground slightly further east than me got up to 6 inches I believe and mendip west they got a little less.

Pleasant day here today. good.gif

It is a lovely week. We've had a few weak fronts (early Monday, Tuesday pm and early today) which have brought very little rain and in between

them it's been sunny or even when cloudier, like yesterday was here, quite bright.
