Sunny intervals and light showers this morning, feeling cool in the showers with a f4-5 NW breeze and the temperature between 8.8c in the showers and 10.3c in the sunny spells.

September has already notched up more sunshine than either June or August, with 92.2 hrs up to yesterday. It could well end up sunnier than July which recorded128.9 hrs but is unlikely to reach March which had 155.7 hrs.

Sunny spells and mostly dry until late afternoon. Some further brief but heavy showers early this evening. Cool with a fresh NW wind.

Back from a week in Cornwall, where it was rather cool and breezy, although the (mostly light) rain was generally overnight.

Here in Reading it's been dry today with sunny spells. Currently clear, 10.2 deg C, wind light NW. Today's maximum 17.5, last night's minimum 11.0.
