I wouldn't say it is Mild beyond the normal for this time of year though. Generally temperatures through late September and October are around 10-15c. The average temperature for October (including night time minimas) is 10-11c.

A thoroughly wet, cold and miserable day with frequent, heavy and prolonged showers, blustery winds and quite cool also. a good night to be beside the fire with a good book.

Ecm tonight looks very unsettled for next week.

A true Autumn night out tonight! Took a drive down through Donegal today and took a walk up Mount Errigal! Absolutely love this time of year! The way things are going I think winter could be coming a wee bit earlier this year! As I said before I'm going with my gut feeling! Lol! Looks to be some chilly nights on the way towards the weekend

Lovely sunny day here! Ive been keeping an eye on temperatures though, its been down to about 4c in the mornings up to a maximum of 10 and down to 6 or 7c at around 9pm or so. Definitely turning chillier!

I think there was a frost here.... 4c when i got up but there was plenty of moisture on the cars to indicate it had got down to freezing...

on another note, was anyone affected by the outage of 29 sets of traffic lights in Belfast today?

Didn't notice a frost this morning, mainly as I was up playing poker til 4am and slept til half 10. Temperatures need to be down close to freezing for a ground frost, below for an air. Possibly a ground frost or lots of dew.

Yep, line of storms crossed Central and Northern Ireland at around mid-late afternoon. No hail here, but hefty rain.

a temporary high on top of us. actually come to think of it, could be a nice autumn day tomorrow, especially if one needs to get out to do things.

this looks nice in fantasy land, beautiful, settled autumn day with golden brown crunchy leaves under foot, and blue skies. frosty settled and calm nights with a sense of mystery and awe in the air.

I know, I know, it will probably lash for halloween.

I'll get me coat.help.gif

a very cold night, outside temp 1.6c with patchy fog. could be on for the coldest night of the autumn so far.

General consensus is for an early snowfall (ie pre winter). I hope we all don't end up wrong.

Better man-up and make my choice then. 29th Nov. smile.png

Had to go to Coleraine on Thursday Morning at about 6am. Thick fog until I got to the top of the Colin and then I broke through above to see a big foggy blanket in the valley below. Tried to get a photo but it was still too dark and the first lightening was just starting. Foggy on and off to about Ballymoney and then frosty all the way!
