I think we should have a vote on winter lol...Cause I am bored biggrin.png

It does not need to be days in a row just a full 24 hours where snow is on the ground smile.png

0-5 days of laying snowfall

6-10 days of laying snowfall

11-15 days of laying snowfall

16+ days of laying snowfall

Since its a vote i would 16+ days of laying snowfall :)

Evening all, lovely weather day apart from the drizzle of the morning, but the afternoon and evening have made up for it with warm sunshine and blue skies. Another fine sunset to take me into the weekend - just have to stop feeling ill now

Hope you feel well soon QS!

Back to the provinces thank God. London is soooo damn busy and frantic. And the buildings are mahoosive. It's ok for a day or two but it'd drive me up the wall. Nah, I'll stick to EA ta very much.

Nice sunny weather and warm there though. It was nice sitting outside the Barbican. :D âš¡âš¡âš¡âš¡âš¡âš¡

Not a big fan of London life but it has it has it's highlights I guess, glad to see you had some warm weather though.

Snow from Christmas eve (so I can get my shopping done and more importantly people can get my presents!) Til mid February

Yes I know would be horrendous (because nothing would get delivered, run or work, I would love it!) and the daily express would go into melt down but we would get used to it!

Ok we wouldn't....:)

Bit early I know but... I just love it when we get our first properly cold day when I can can just wrap up, I even love the first big fogs of the autumn as well which linger all day long, you know it signals either cold weather or milder weather on the way, preferably the former.

Welcome back K, good to know your home safe and sound, hope it all went well good.gif

As for the snow well.....if it could start snowing on Christmas eve about 4pm and not stop until new years day that would do very nicely for me thank you biggrin.png

I'm actually looking forward to the first frost as well, I know it's sad but I just love waking up to white ground and there is so much fun to be had in the winter.....

from what i have read and studied it looks like a weak el nino year

this is from the link below

Eight El Nino events which have been reported since 1980. The others were reported in the following years: 1982-1983, 1986-1987, 1991-1992, 1994-1995, 1997-1998, 2002-2003, 2006-2007, 2009-2010.

i know what year above i would like to see

as for lying snow

will say i feel november mid onwards for 2 weeks will see snow very cold as well

end december to 2nd week january will see snow

last week in february snow

i also think we could see a week or 2 of snow in march but not so disruptive

roughly laying snow 20 plus days

i am still working on my forecast-guess smile.png

will post at end of month

hides now ph34r.png

No need to hide, that's a lot of work you have put in there.

If what you wrote there comes off, I wonder what part number we would get to on the London & south east thread when it splits off! Lol :)

What I hate is when its gets mild after a period of cold, just wish the seasons could make their minds up!

Thanks JP

Your guess is as good as mine John - but it seems to work well as it is, it might just be a bit too busy in the winter though, with some of the excitement on here already tonight and we are only in September it looks like the 'silly season' could be a long one !

I blame the bad summer and lack of storms, I think we are all desperate for some exciting weather angel.gif

i agree the summer was a let down

winter too make up for it good.gif

It's not my decision, I don't have those kind of powers !
