Wouldn't you know it! A small thundery cell has fired near Hunstanton in NW Norfolk. That area seems very favoured this summer; it must be the proximity to Lincolnshire!

Same here...very boring but as I was working anyway (apart from a quick trip to the vets) I haven't missed anything exciting !

Looks like we are returning to UK on Saturday to traditional bank holiday fare? Still roasting here. Emergency measures have been put in place - chilling the red rioja so that by opening time (which is a fluid concept) it is at UK room temperature rather than Spanish room temperature which is currently 40c!

I am with friends on this site. Can I ask you if, theoretically, it is acceptable to put lemon juice in one's hair at the the of 47? I'm worried it might be too late (in several respects....)

although at least the wind has dropped

i reckon chance of some thunderstorms on sunday afternoon

possibilty of high pressure trying to get back into the south east from monday#

not saying dry but lot less chance of persistant rain#

I had the same problem as well, it was so smokey I thought someones house was on fire, turns out it was just a big bonfire.

Its actually rather chilli out tehre tonight which is great for sleeping,

Yes, I was just thinking it felt like a nice September morning here despite the blue sky and sunshine there is a definite nip in the breeze - not a bad day though I'd take this over the weekend rather than what's coming !

Probably the non descript weather, I guess, the reason for the small number of posts?

Back from Wicksteed Park in Kettering and got soaked in a deluge. I must have been the only the big black cloud in this region as everyone else I've spoken to here in Stevenage and further south in Enfield say they've had lovely weather.
