Fairly cloudy day with some sunny periods at times.

Plenty warm enough though with max of 24.8c so far after 18.3c low.

25c max and 18c low is spot on for me - be nice to have a bit more sunshine but otherwise perfect stuff!

Boooo! After a lovely start it's now raining, and although it's humid, it really isn't that warm.

Can't be bothered to check the temperature, I will just be disappointed.

At long last - sunshine! This irritating veil of cloud that's plagued and ruined this heatwave is now shifting with blue sky arriving from the south. Mercury has also gone up from 20C at midday to 23.3C now. About flippin' time!

The change in airmass from the cold front is noticeable here over the past hour or two, the high-mid level cloud has gone and lower level stratocumulus has replaced it. Air is much cleaner as well, was hazy earlier, feels much fresher too.

5mm of rain earlier from that lump of rain heading NE.

Temp 20c and falling after a max of 23c.

The change has just appeared here and the drop in temperature is notable after about six hours of warm sunshine, reaching about 24C which was preceded by the low mist. Sudden change from sultry to cool and fresh, and a rain cloud has just appeared. What a mix of a day! huh.png

A humid, calm, overcast day with the odd very light rain shower in York today (headed east to escape the worst of the rain).

On the journey back to Leeds the temp dropped from 24c to 18c and arriving back home there is evidence of heavy rain.

Currently 18.4c and very grey with a light westerly.

still waiting for the dewpoints to fall to 'sensible' levels, a chunk of CuSc and unstable Ac over at the moment but no rain; a high of 26.6C although walking just west of Chesterfield we got spots of rain both before and after lunch, never amounting to anything.
