Just about to post the same thing. Typical isn't it.....every landmass north snow covered, same to the east, and virtually all of continental Europe. Emigration maybe an option!

Weird to think right now you could drive from france all the way to the eastern tip of russia drive across the bearing sea because its frozen and end up in eastern Canada without seeing a single patch of green!!

As this is the snow and ice build up thread, I would imagine he is referring to the promising signs over Europe and the Northern Hemisphere at the current time.
