Perhaps heavy might have been a better choice of word.

But certainly some very heavy snowfalls over the Alps in recent week or so.

and certainly not on the scale of early this year! http://www.dailymail.co.uk/travel/article-2085131/Snow-Alps-Freak-snowfall-traps-1-000-British-skiers-Austrian-Alps.html

Just about to post the same thing. Typical isn't it.....every landmass north snow covered, same to the east, and virtually all of continental Europe. Emigration maybe an option!

Thankyou Gavin but I'd rather you removed the dividing line. Posted Image It sure is clear from that where we are heading and where we're at as of now.

Weird to think right now you could drive from france all the way to the eastern tip of russia drive across the bearing sea because its frozen and end up in eastern Canada without seeing a single patch of green!!

Theoretically.

The Balkans have been hit hard - "In Serbia's northern province of Vojvodina, 50cm (20ins) of snow fell in just a few hours"

See:

Cool the way they use a tank to remove the stuck Coach in the video. In the UK if the snow gets super bad it would look more like

As this is the snow and ice build up thread, I would imagine he is referring to the promising signs over Europe and the Northern Hemisphere at the current time. Posted Image

However, before you say it............................................................
