I also like how their reporting is very positive of the event, and reflects people enjoying the spectacle. Not like this country's doomsday and gloomy reporting of snow.

You'd never get a 'Snow in the city delights [insert UK city] residents' headline lol.

I remember it in '81, I still have the newspaper cutting from the Benoni local newspaper. Great event started off with thunder & lightning and changed quickly into heavy snowfall. Interesting to see people who have never experienced snow before and their almost fear of the situation.

I think I've seen more folks slide their cars off the road during that event than anytime in the UK or USA, but that's not surprising really.
