I spoke way too soon. It's absolutely pouring down now. The showers are coming from the West and seem to have intensified over the last 30 minutes.

Temp has dropped a little to 15.9C and there's no real wind associated with the showery activity.

Disappointing cloudy and cool this afternoon, 16.8C currently. Reached 18.6C at 11:50 this morning in sunny intervals before a moderate shower here (torrential a couple miles to my NW though looking at the radar/clouds).

A bit of blue sky appearing on the NW horizon again though. Low last night = 11.2C at 00:30

Small amounts of sun a.m. teasing with strong warmth but lots of cloud, which increased through the morning until virtually no blue at all and very dark shower clouds. Cool and dull in Bridgwater - heavy rain inland leaving lots of standing water and some minor local flooding. Now cool but dry with thinner cloud. Only about 16C today.

Mostly dry today with some sunny intervals but generally a lot of cloud. There was one sharp shower at 12 noon and a few rumbles of thunder to the north-east, but most of today's showery activity has been east of here. A max of 20.6C in the back garden, 19C at nearby RAF Topcliffe.
