New York City is notorious for dangerously large rats — at least if you watch the movies, that’s what they would have you to believe. But an unidentified monstrous animal that was found dead on the shoreline of the East River has locals and officials scratching their heads.

On Monday, Gothamist posted a photo taken by Denise Ginley of the East River creature

What do you think this is?!?!

Similar to the other weird 'monster' found on the shores of Montauk.. there's a government animal test lab there, so that could explain it. Poor creature looks like it suffered.

A bloated piglet.....?

Edit I have no idea after looking again, what ever it is it's been floating about for a good while... and wouldn't want it to deflate near me.
