I remember Nov 1994 very well..just moved into a cottage in the country with my fiancee that we were renovating. Spent the month rigging up the oil fired heating and restoring the reaburn..was very glad it was mild because i was using the reaburn to heat the house with wood and coal and it only worked the downstairs, whilst i installed the boiler and oil tank outside and associated pipework....happy days

urgh what a disgusting looking month......that being said, I'd rather get any mild weather out of the way in October/November/early December than later on in winter. One of the saddest situations weatherwise for me is seeing January being taken up by southwesterlys......what a truly grim thought that is :(

Dubai Floods: Another Warning Sign for Desert Regions?

The flooding in the Middle East desert city of Dubai earlier in the week followed record-breaking rainfall.
