Its down to 8.0C here, which is actually the coldest night in July since 1996. The lowest July minima at this site in 32 years of records is 7.3C (set in 1990), so its quite unusual to be this cold.

In the end it dropped to a min of 7.2C, beating the old record by 0.1C and making it the coldest July night in 32 years of records at this site. Completely unexpected I must say!

Currently clear and sunny with a temperature of 7.3C.

A very chilly night down to 10.9c (10c has been my coldest July night taken this year and in 2007).

Lightbulb sunshine at the moment and 14.2c. Hoping cloud will break enough this morning to warm the house up as its ruddy freezing in here this morning!

It was sunnier earlier but light cloud cover is present - I'd say 8 oktas. But it's still bright as enough sunshine is able to pass through the clouds, a little breeze has picked up too after a calm night. Visibility is around 40km and temperature is around 14C. All in all not a bad July morning.

Sunshine and blue skies, what a rare sight!

Sky starting to turn milky from the west so wont be a perfect summers day but probably the best weather since the end of May.

A very nice day here, hazy sunshine this morning with a lot of high cloud, which thickened for a time around 11am-12am, to be one the cusp on brightness as opposed to sunshine, however into the afternoon, this pushed away to give a deep blue sky and bright sunshine from around 1, Temps 19c, but in very little wind, feeling very summery indeed.

Given the summer so far, hopefully the next few weeks will stay like this. [we can only hope]

Quite a lot of fair weather cumulus about earlier today drifting very slowly so small clouds blanking out sun for long periods if you were unlucky. Sun has shone, until about 3.00 p.m. through weak high stratus but that seems to be thinning off to virtually nothing now. Cumulus also lessening so more sun into the evening. Dry!

Met informing us to expect 29C on Wednesday in Yeovilton.shok.gif The one day of the week I'm completely office bound SIGH!

Hazy sunshine, 17.5c

Got down to 6.5c last night, a personal record for myself (began recording in 2007), but nowhere near the actual record I suspect (coldest July night I can find at Leeds Weather Centre is 3C)
