cor, wish I thought that, miles too hot here with 26.8C max, not a breath of wind, and no clouds, I envy Cumbria and places oop norf!

A stunningly hot day here at 28C and with hardly a breath of wind it really has felt hot. Quite hazy and rather humid, really not like a day in the UK at all!

Temperature is falling fast as the cold front is moving through. 19.9C, 100% overcast conditions after a mainly hazy day with a lovely max of 26.2C.

18c currently, humid cloudy day with no wind making it feel quite sticky. Had some drizzly rain this morning, pretty much the same as yesterday. Definitely a non event up here.

The lack of sun this summer is really getting to me now, not had two consecutive sunny days since May and nothing on the horizon. Warm, dry autumn this year?

A much cooler day than recently with a max today of just 17.5c. Cant grumble though as Sunday to Tuesday were all stunning summer days.

Still warm here - we have a cover of high cirrostratus. Tomorrow is supposed to be cooler but still pleasant and warm - then it's downhill for the weekend to a cool but dry Saturday.

I would dearly love one of those thunderstorms forecast for the channel down to Dorset to stray north. Pretty please???

Warmest day of the year so far here with a high of 27.3C, currently still 23.4C and a bit humid too, lovely very warm week

A terrific spell of weather, most of which I have spent at work unfortunately but hey ho. Temperatures maxed out at 29.5C this afternoon in glorious sunshine which turned hazy after 4.30pm ahead of light cloud that has now moved in. That makes it the hottest day of this spell, beating 28.6C yesterday and of the year beating the same on May 26th.

Max 23C today.. hazy sunshine, cloudy now - some lovely cooler weather returning at the weekend - fantastic.

A very decent spell of weather overall although a little on the cloudy side at times, especially Wednesday, we could of done a lot worse.

Another good day here - sunnier and clearer than yesterday and already the same temp as yesterdays maximum, currently 24c.

If only summer could mostly be 22-25c with the odd hot spell it'd be perfect!

And that is pretty much that. Just managed a fairly pleasant dry day today which finishes off a very nice spell of summer weather. Starting last Saturday we saw rapidly increasing temperatures and almost unbroken sunshine. From midweek onwards there was more cloud around and it was cooler but still very respectable for Summer. And over a week without a single drop of rain. Not bad.

Still managed to reach 21C here today. Much fresher than the past week. Pleasant evening with the doors open and hazy sunshine.
