Someone turned on the tap at midday!

This morning dawned clear and sunny before Cirrus quickly moved in between 07.00-08.00 which made for a morning

of hazy/lightbulb sunshine. The lightbulb sun is actually continuing now through thick Cirrus but it's actually been raining

lightly since just after noon.

15.0c, 79% humidity. calm.

Surprisingly warm and sunny this afternoon in Sandhutton, N Yorks. It started off sunny before about 8am, but then cumulus and stratocumulus formed extensively and gave largely cloudy conditions until 2am with a temperature around 18C, but since then it has been mainly sunny with a maximum of 20.7C. About 3/8 oktas Cu/Sc with some altostratus and cirrus starting to show up to the south-west.

Sun only shone until about 7.30 cloud soon came over and rain began earlier than expected at about 11.00 a.m. It hasn't stopped since - sometimes light but sometimes quite heavy and although I haven't seen major floods there's been some big puddles about! It's felt cold too. cold.gif
