The day started dry and bright but a line of very heavy showers moved through between 08.00-09.00 giving 5mm of rain while just a few miles to the South

around half an inch fell in only a few hours! Since mid-morning the sky has gradually cleared to leave a now very sunny afternoon with CBs to the South and

further TCu and showery clouds to the North.

18.1c, 77% humidity and a fresh WNW breeze.

Showing how rubbish this summer has been.

Lovely sunny day and feeling warm.

I look at the max temp 16C this should feel really cold.

Anyway now rain today but it has got rather breezy wind f3 but gusting at times towards 35 mph.

This could be another record for this July- a day 00-2400 with NO rain?

Heavy bursts of rain to the north caused localised flash flooding near Wells but missed where I live. Mixed day of sun and lines of rain, pleasant in the sun when it came. Currently we have superb cloudscapes of large cumulus floating around.
