These are pulse storms so will tend to die and then reform throughout the afternoon. The cell just near Sheffield looks like it is ready to spark with some very heavy echos within it.... actually it just has - sferics detected smile.png

Looks like its striking over the Bawtry/Blyth area..

Another arc of cells building to the south & south east of MK at the minute gaining strength, think they may merge to form another storm looking at them, well defined convection with high tops.

Just on the A4146 to MK shopping. No thunder with the last storm over us, could well develop tho. Lots of deep puddles and very dirty clouds and big puddles! Streetlights turned themselves on too

Taking an identical route to the storm that occured Thursday evening which I was chasing. And this storm then went on to hit Halifax/Bradford - so i'm hoping :)

I can recall that one, just after tea time, wasn't it?

It looks like it.

I'm more interested in the one to the north of Lincoln, which seems like it will steer towards me if the winds stay as they are.

Looks like two lines of showers on the radar running E to W across the country.

Robt, are you not under that storm near Doncaster? Or can you see it?

Convection has gone up around Sanhutton (N Yorks) for a couple of hours but nothing has really come of it so far, just a few light showers scattered about. Still plenty of time though!

That heavy shower that just passed through doncaster had rotation with the updrafts. Nearly formed a funnel cloud!

Another torrential spell of rain in CMK, where I once had a lawn it's been replaced by a small lake. lol

A little bit, but it seemed more towards town than over me. This one from Crowle definitely has some stuff rotating on the leading edge.

I've also just heard a distant rumble of thunder to my SE.

It also appears that there may be a convergence zone virtually above my house..

I am surrounded by houses so have very little view from here. May have to pop out onto the hills in a short while with the camcorder to look SE. Sferics have died in the shower now approaching Barnsley and heading my way though. Although it appears to have joined with a more electrically active storm at its rear.

Another heavy cell just gone up around Matlock will soon hit Buxton and could start dropping sferics soon.
