Well in June 2012 fashion it's yet another wet and miserable morning! Strong southerly winds gusting 30-40mph with heavy showery rain, temp 14.2c. Dew point 12.2c... Summer 2012, show yourself now. :)

Cooler and mainly cloudy with 7/8 shallow Cu but 2/8 mixed in of that is Cu 2 looking fairly deep. A less humid night with a low of 13.3C, currently 16.7C with Td=12.4C and a breeze from the WNW

A dry night and the evening was mostly clear. Cloud increased after midnight and so far this morning it's been dry and mainly cloudy with a few brief sunny intervals.

Friday 29th June 2012:

Eventual rainfall total after yesterdays storms was 20.4mm, bringing the total for this month to 140mm so far, still not as wet as June 2007 (161.5mm)

Clear for a time last night, though turning cloudy and breezy through the early hours with the odd spot of rain. The morning to observation has been mainly cloudy and breezy, though there were a few sunny spells early on, just bright spells currently.

Today's readings for the 24 hrs up to 09:00 GMT:

Yesterday:

Cloudy and warm overnight with a little rain. The morning to observation has seen mostly overcast conditions with a little light rain. At observation, heavy dark cloud to the west is back building towards this location, continuous high elevation thunder. Very humid.

At around 10:45 GMT, high altitude lightening and thunder passed through this location, torrential rain for 15 minutes leaving 9mm.

Further storms moved in from the SW during the morning and in to the early part of the afternoon producing more torrential rain. By mid afternoon the storms cleared and there was some warm sunshine through to the evening.

A decent sort of day with plenty of sunshine. There was a brief moderate shower around midday but in the strong sunshine and brisk winds all trace of rain was gone very quickly. Max of 20.8c. Now 19.2c
