It's been humid for a few days now - very grey and moist conditions out there now. I wish we had the stuff that Wimbledon's got now.

Well looks to be in interesting Thunder Thursday in some place. But seems many here just missing out? Some big active areas look to just have missed Glasgow to the West, and another missed Edinburgh to the East? There is a lot of activity out to sea it looks like but here is is misty, murky, still, and damp feeling. As Lorenzo says, plenty time yet and some footage appearing on internet of areas that have caught the activity.

Diddy squat here (other than a few light showers)

Just had a look at the radar and some very heavy rain in parts of Scotland but it seems that the populated areas are missing out.

Looks like most of us have missed out, storms moving up the west coast and just of the east coast.

The sun is out here, pressure is low at 979 but we seem to be continually missing out. Not a huge amount of rain here so far, some beefy black clouds keep appearing over the hills then swinging away again. Humid beyond belief!

Intermittently swinging to bright blue skies and sunshine, then back to overcast cloudy - wind's got up a lot, but no rain as yet...

Warm dreich instead of cool dreich, little wind, plenty midges, wee shagnasties. Lots of days this month with just 1mm or 2mm or so of rain, not many dry.

Think now might be a good time to turn my computer off! Suddenly like night in Inverness, thunder has been rumbling away distantly but getting closer and rain starting.

No sun, no thunder, just more of the same grey, damp drizzly garbage. So much for the weather warning here...

HC's under the floor boards stash has a leak..

Today looks well err, as rotten as most of the rest of June.. ! Slight risk of some Thunder later today.

Uk love in with this upper trough shows no sign of abating.

Warm,humid, damp, grey, drizzle.

First third of July - are we on for a slow transition. Healthy HP in the mid -atlantic and by the 9th moves east - will it move over us... or stall..by the 9th on ECM it is poised..

So maybe a week of the good stuff to come mid July....

Everything you'd expect from a Scottish Summer...

Poor summer so far rolls on. Bloody miserable out there with showers sometimes prolonged (infact looks like a band about to hit us which will last quite a while)

Yes spotted that one tracking from Ireland on the radar looks pretty lively and sustained rain for a few hours this afternoon.

I'll get straight ontae it Big Innes.

First thought that comes into my head involves countrywide computer-controlled co-ordination of wind farms, a crap load of power and a flux capacitor.

Heads for the lab....

Just had a lively thunderstorm with a bit of torrential rain and some serious forked lightning about six stikes on the trees to the south of us well within a mile. Still very humid but sun is out now currently 18c. Seems the Open golf at Castle Stuart has the same weather pattern coming up again.
