Here's hoping.... a new thread for the summer months.

Will we get another settled period similar to March or May?

Will Scotland continue it's mysterious passage from Spring directly to Autumn / Winter?

Will NL crops grow?

Will SS finish building?

Will HC survive the bumper midge invasion?

This and lots more to come.. Fingers crossed everyone !

Previous thread.

Well guess what - yep its pouring again - no problem at Glenkinchie distillery - they must be awash with water just now!!

What has happened to our weather of late with these rather entrenched weather patterns. I know global warming scenarios touted more rain but this is getting ridiculous. I think we should all go to the earth summits and campaign because if this is the weather we're in for i'm all for beating the cutting of trees, pollution and making our earth healthy again - they wouldn't get away with no reponse and no action with me around!

Shouldn't this thread say "autumn" in the title? What? Oh, right I see...

Sorry, my mistake! Still waiting for any hint of summer here since the start of June. 3 fine hours and a thunderstorm doesn't cut it. The outlook is seemingly more of the same but with a wee bit of flooding possibly thrown in to the equation. The NW has stolen the NE's normally decent weather...and I want it back or there'll be lots of foot stamping!

Seriously though it's not very nice today and there is not much in the way of warm and settled weather in the immediate outlook.

On radar the main pulse of shower activity moving North of the central belt now..

The KNMI Satrep kind of sums up the perils of living in the UK, the rest of Europe looking nice and clear and Cloud and muck circling the UK like flies round $^)"£

Some hefty cells skirting the East coast too..

Hammering down this evening just to mess up the school fete, just like last year. A lot of sodden people...

Funnily, Lorenzo, or rather not funnily at all, we finally have an eruption of mozzies in the woods which replaced the grounded midges today. Flotillas of them, all with one thing on their mind.

Looks like I'll be taking the rain on holiday with me doh.gif heading to western Florida on Sunday and watching the potential for a tropical storm or hurricane to develop. I'll be at sea level on a tiny island with the maximum altitude of about 1m so it could mess up my holiday if it turns into a hurricane!! I I think I would prefer it to be a tropical storm, makes it interesting for a day and I won't need to evacuate.

It could all go the other way though but it looks like I'll be getting drenched!

p.s fully expect there to be prolems at the Royal Highland Show tomorrow with cars getting stuck in the mud, probably the best place though since it will be full of tractors!!

Hi all.

Don't want to depress us all even further but..........Sorry, link not working! See next post.

The remnants of 'Chris' we don't need! People south of the border are certainly joining in a 'Scottish' summer this year instead of the usual NW/SE split!
