Currently quite a warm, cloudy night with the temperature just slightly below 14*C - seems to be one of the warmest nights in a while. Gentle light wind also blowing in from the East. A rather high risk of the Birmingham rain shield getting smashed into pieces as an area of very heavy precipitation spills in from the South. No doubt, other rain shields will get a good whackin' as well. And what's more... if some of our storm shields are weak enough, there's also a chance of some thunder, too.

Half an inch of rain overnight was followed by a very humid, dull, misty, drizzly start. The sun began to burn through just after 08.00 and since then there's been some pleasant hazy sunshine among the Stratocumulus, Altocumulus and Cirrus.

16.1c, 98% humidity (!!) and a gentle SSW breeze.

Unbelieveable for Mid-summer...

11c, overcast 100% cloud cover and very fine, light drizzle

Cars going past with headlamps on at 11am....

Quite possibly the most depressing vista of weather I've seen so far this year (and that's saying something)

Thick fog all morning here with persistent rain and drizzle, heavy at times. Not cold though with a current temp' of 14.2c.

I'm hoping for some torrential downpours this afternoon but, realistically, it looks as though they are more likely to the east of me.

Constant drizzle from about 7am here, and no higher than 13c. Got to be the worst midsummers day I can remember. 7.30 pm and we've got the lights on and the heating turned right up. Unbelievable... wallbash.gif

Dry period after heavy rain overnight very brief - by lunchtime heavy rain fell in west Somerset and persisted and became heavier for about two hours around 4.30 - 6.30 p.m. - almost a deluge. Now much lighter rain and brighter now than earlier in the day.

I can remember midsummer days just like this in other years! I do live near Glastonbury after all!
