There will be no UKASF forecasts until the 21st June as forecasters are chasing in the US currently...

Can hear sferics on AM but nothing on lightning detectors, then again O2 coverage round here is rubbish.

Currently sat near to Thorne in N Lincs.

You should have a heavy shower inbound soon, just getting the first one of the day here, I'm not far from Thorne, very big drops. Sprung up from nowhere.

Sucls that I'm stuck in recovering from surgery :(

An almost-torrential downpour passed over here about an hour ago along with the first thunder I've heard all year. I missed the two other occurrences due to having an afternoon nap and being completely engaged with an Economics exam, however neither of these were at home, which I'm sure is far less storm-prone than 10-20 miles to the south.

Most of the activity is the very far north of Norfolk and out to sea. Very little elsewhere and this was meant to peak time. Has something gone wrong?

EDIT: Lightning just appeared on detectors around north Nottinghamshire heading towards Doncaster and also near to (at a guess) Ashbourne... all is not lost :)

Nothing here yet. Skies are very dark though and there's something moving in from the south. Still plenty of time though and i'm more confident of catching some electrical activity than I have been all year.

The risk is to extend North and North Eastwards as we head through this afternoon and in to early evening mate.

Some big raindrops falling near to Crowle and cloud developing readily now. I may hang around this area (between Goole and Scunny) for a bit.

Worksop directly downwind from my position :)

Heavy t-shower here in Pudsey with a decent crack of thunder a minute ago.

Absolutely black towards the west of here.

Anyone copping it in Bradford / Queensbury ???

Work herer in Donny is quite quiet. There is a big cell to the SE and more darkening to the NW. Off to the west there is a developing line of CBs and this continues northward. From the radar this appears to have electrified rapidly to the north of here so I guess it's game on for thunfer now.

Still some sunshine here so insolation is still going on too.

It's pretty bright here, keeps going dull and then the sun comes back out. It does look pretty mean to the east though. Waiting to see what comes up from the south, still confident and plenty of time left.

There's a line of intense showers/storms approaching Middlesbrough from the SE (I am working here today) was wondering if any thunder can be heard from them at the moment they appear to be around Darlington area and are quite a narrow band?

Larkhill sounding suggests a bit of a cap early on.

Radar suggesting a squall line or two in northern England with an interesting isolated area or precipitation having crossed over the Portsmouth area heading towards London.
