A wet and windy night with heavy rain and the wind gusting to 46 mph, bringing down a couple of trees locally.

The rain cleared to the north by 0400 g.m.t and the hill fog, which developed during the early hours, lifted into low cloud by 0630 g.m.t.

Currently dry with the sun just beginning to break through the stratus.

Yesterday: sunny start, clouded over during the morning and the wind strengthened. Persistent rain from late afternoon onwards. Maximum 18.2, minimum 8.8. Wind moderate SE.

Well done to ECM for forecasting this low pressure, and GFS wasn't that bad either.

Looking at radar about 15mm of rain in past 24 hrs, heavy persistent rain yesterday evening for several hours, fairly dry overnight and today has seen a mix of sunny spells, persistent rain and heavy showers, with a bit of kitchen sink thrown in. rofl.gif
