Overcast but high layer of cloud thin enough to let in watery sun allowing temperature to reach 16C. Possibly warmer than expected. At least the day is starting tolerably well.

Quite an odd day really.

It began clear and sunny before mist/low cloud formed around 07.00 which lasted until 09.00 with just a few brighter spells. The sun burned through quickly just as frontal Cirrus was beginning to thicken so we had unbroken hazy sunshine for an hour after which Cumulus developed rapidly and began to tower into TCU beneath the Cirrus by 11.00.

I drove through a few light showers between 11.30-12.00, but the sky has now begun to clear somewhat with some good sunshine

boosting temperature to the warmest since last Saturday at 16.6c although thicker cloud is moving in from the SW and there's a brisk SE breeze.
