Looks like a classic colorado play today - first head towards Bennet on I70 (great truck stop there north of the interstate) but remember to stay on the WEST side of any cell that forms early - really good chance for landspout tornadoes. Next follow any cell that sustains itself off the Palmar divide and starts tracking into the deeper dewpoints towards Washington / Yuma county.

currently there is astrong DCVZ in place - Bennet is the place to start from (as ever!)

Well at least the DP's are higher out on the plains, the mountains are showing 18F DP, that air is dry up there. Fingers crossed. Could be luckier a little later with the moisture being drawn into OK, as visible on the latest satellite update?

Tornado warning!

DISCUSSION...STORMS ARE BEGINNING TO DEVELOP ALONG THE WRN EDGE OF

DEEPER MOISTURE OVER THE SERN WY/NEB PANHANDLE BORDER REGION...AND

ALONG A CONVERGENCE LINE OVER NERN CO. BOTH BOUNDARIES ARE MOVING

NWWD ACCORDING TO SATELLITE/RADAR DATA...SUGGESTING STORM THREAT MAY

GRADUALLY DEVELOP WWD WHERE STRONGER SSWLY WINDS ALOFT ARE LOCATED.

STEEP LAPSE RATES AND STRONG HEATING WILL PROMOTE FORMATION OF LARGE

HAIL WITH MORE INTENSE CELLS...WITH STRONG WIND GUSTS ALSO POSSIBLE.

THERE IS ALSO POTENTIAL FOR SEVERAL TORNADOES TO

DEVELOP...ESPECIALLY LONG THE DENVER CONVERGENCE ZONE IN NERN CO.
