What a smashing day. If there are no storms, do something truly awesome , go to the top of a 14,260 high mountain in Colorado.

Started the ascent at Idaho Springs 6,000ft app drove the 14 miles up to the car par near the summit and some of the team completed the climb to the absolute summit , which is 14270. The last stretch was flipping hard and the altitude sickness kicked in.

We rounded the day off with a lovely meal in Idaho Springs and spent the night in Denver ready for action tomorrow.

Cheers Tom - did you catch my offer for a free exclusive mouse mat (yeah really, it's a limited edition too) for the best scenic picture, or most imaginative use of a chicken?

Well done guys, good timing, as the road has only been open for a couple of weeks, as borne out by the snow alongside the road.

Did the chicken recover from the lack of oxygen?

The airs a tad thin up there isn't it?

To add to Lewis's 360 panorama, Arron has created a cool photosynth here http://goo.gl/OZgm6 (couldn't resist linking to it Arron, sorry ;-) )
