After our overnight stay in Plainview just south of Amarillo, we are in prime position to chase any supercells that are forecast to develop across the Texas Panhandle later today. Storms are likely to have very large hail along with damaging winds and perhaps a brief tornado.

I'm thinkin' if you went into a pub and asked for a steak and kidney pie, you'd get a steak but they would be out of kidney pie for dessert.

In our travels we almost always make up our own lunches from stuff we've bought at supermarket deli or fruit stands (hope that term means what I intend it to mean) along the highway. Like you, it seems that we find the Tex-mex restaurants a good deal for the evening meal, especially those which are independent and not big chains. Have found that Dairy Queen has a good burger oddly enough (lunch rather than dinner size).
