There was an ever hotter spell in the south when maxima got as high as 33.3C on the 1st at Camden Sqaure, London Airport and southampton

31.1C was recorded at Mildenhall on the 6th.

72mm of rain was recorded at Minehead as thunderstorms broke out in the SW of England and much of Wales.

And just a month after Her Majesty's coronation!

It looks rather similar to the May warm spell of this year for the NW !!!
