Glorious start to the day, much sunnier and less breezy than yesterdays horrible damp overcast day, should be some strong spells of sunshine today great for getting out in, nothing feels better than a strong sun on your face without worrying about grey leaden skies with gusty winds and outbreaks of nuisance light rain.

Northerly influence is back here this morning, 5.9C and drizzly rain.

Yesterday evening was almost May-like for a whole two hours before sunset with temperature of 14.9C which was the highest this month - even though most of the day was cold and very wet.

Horrible start to the day, feels more like November than May. 100% overcast, dull, no rain and a biting WSW wind making it feel about 5-6 degrees. Ears are hurting from the cold.

Well it was blue sky and sunshine when I woke up, but by the time I'd got up it's clouded over - looks like I missed the best part of the day already !

Yeah, this seems to be happening a lot recently. I woke at 6am and could see blue sky and sun through the curtains. Then literally within ten minutes its gloom...

On Sunday I thought we were going to have the first totally dry day since 16 April, however a sharp shower in the evening prevented that.

So today is the next chance, and it's now 25 days since a totally dry day!

A pleasant and increasingly sunny day with scattered Cumulus and Altocumulus, a fresh WNW wind, 13.5c and humidity 65%.

Overcast and damp this morning in Cleadon but slowly brightened up towards midday. Sunshine and showers this afternoon, and one shower briefly produced some hail. Another chilly day with a max of 10.3C following a min of 5.9C, although the sunshine in between the showers and only light-moderate winds have made it feel warmer than the last two days (which had no sun at all).

Gone quite sunny outside now compared to the cloudier conditions earlier on today. Still a few clouds around, otherwise mostly sunny. Really lovely. :) A cool wind apparent, too, with the temperature around 10.8*C.
