Amidst all the very wet days there comes an afternoon when washing can be dried on the line!

Today got off to a disturbed start with fast moving cloud/sharp showers and a very gusty SE wind, the showers slowly

eased away by mid morning with increasing sunny spells, scattered large Cumulus and a lighter breeze since.

13.3c now, humidity 98%.

Another thoroughly unpleasant day giving a fitting end to one of the most disgusting months of awful weather ever witnessed in this area.

Steady rain all night and throughout the morning giving a total of 14.4mm which, despite being a far from impressive total, made today the wettest day since 16th September 2011.

After it dried up it remained dull and cloudy with featureless cloud and, needless to say, cold with a maximum of 8.9C. Even that was only reached late on - was around 7C or lower for much of the day.

It has been clear to the east for some time but it is remaining cloudy over land with no sunshine registered despite some blue sky appearing every now and again.
