Another clear and dry night but with a gentle breeze which eventually settled into the W/NW and kept the minimum temp' to a remarkably high 9.6c. This is the second equal highest March min' on record here, equalled in 1998 and 2005 and just 0.2c short of the 1981 record.

Currently dry, cloudless and sunny but 0.7c cooler than at the same time yesterday.

A long time since I have seen a sat pic as clear and cloudless as this across the whole of Europe . I expect one of the records in England rather than Scotland will probably be broken today .

Will have to wait until Sunday to find out what the maximum for this week was on my thermometer - no doubt it'll be a lot cooler by then. In the meantime, here in Luxor it's peaked at around 30 today and it's as sunny as Reading :)

Well, i visited the met office website today, saw the new style

They have a link called Met Office Video, for the daily forecast

Today's forecast presented by Margaret Emerson

Could be a 23 or 24 in London today, and by Saturday, a max of only 14c in the London area, but she said, that

is still above the average

So, i guess that means right now, it's at least 10 degrees above the average, maybe a bit more
