Another sunny and almost cloudless morning. A marked temperature inversion this morning;at 0500 g.m.t the Davis on the house roof was registering 9.7c and 600 m away in a shallow valley the grass was white with frost . The temperature at 0800 g.m.t is already 3.2c higher than it was at this time yesterday and with the wind ( what there is of it ) now W/NW, a much more sheltered direction here, I would think the March record is under serious threat.

At 0800 g.m.t;

Temp', 13.7c

24 hr max', 16.2c

24 hr min', 7.5c

Grass min', 0.7c

Rainfall in 24 hrs ending 0800 g.m.t, nil

Cold and clear overnight again with a min temp of 1.9C. Clear with blue skies again today with the temperature already up to 14.6C.

More importantly the wind is westerly, so without those sea breezes it might just be a much warmer day. The March record here is 19.7C set in 1990, so it'll be interesting to see how close we get.

Sunny and almost cloudless. The Davis on the roof is fluctuating between 16.9c and 17.4c; the March record here in the screen is 17.5c, it could well fall this afternoon.

well my back garden showed a max of 22.9C, higher than many others in this area but its just my back garden I'm judging. It makes it the highest March value in 16 years and the highest value since 2 October 2011.

23.4C here this afternoon beating the 22.4C record set at the weekend and further smashing the long-term March record of 15.7C! A minimum overnight of 1.2C giving a daily range of 21.2C, which is pretty good going.
