16.9c here and we're about at the max now. So still not the warmest of the year yet (we had 17c the other week) but still good. Sky is so crystal clear unlike recent days. My office faces south west (me looking directly south) and the intensity of sunlight falling of me is quite a feeling after the long (admittedly sunny) winter!

[Thundery wintry showers]

It nreached 19.2C at Cleadon around noon, although a slight sea breeze set in afterwards and restricted the temperature to around 16-18C, still extremely impressive for March and it beats my previous March record of 18.4C on 28th March 1998. Clear blue skies and sunshine all day, bar a little bit of high cloud to the east.

Max of 18.7°C here today and this years highest beating 17.8°C recorded yesterday. Also humidity dropped to a new low of 39%

A sunny, warm and almost cloudless day

It remained clear all day here after a cold and frosty start. In the end the temperature went from -0.5C to 16.9C, which is a pretty impressive range at this site. The max itself was the warmest in March since 2004.
