Hi

I want to get weather crazy hubby an all singing and dancing weather station/ equipment for his 40th. What would you suggest? Budget up to £300ish

Thanks for your help.

:good:

I would definitely suggest going for a Davis weather station.

The VP2 would be best (but probably beyond your budget - stretch if you can!). Failing that the Vantage Vue is a pretty good station and around your budget. A bit of google and you will find plenty of suppliers of these (and prices).

In the past I have bought cheap weather stations but have always ended up frustrated (either by them breaking down and/or knowing the data is not accurate). Took the plunge and bought the VP2 last year. Great piece of kit!

I would also recommend the Davis Equipment over the OS Stuff. (WRM200)

Have been using OS Stuff since the end of December, and already ad some problems with the Wireless Signal.

The Temperature Radiation Shield isn't very good.

I've since got a second hand Davis VP1, and that seems much more accurate in every way.

Just need to get the data logger set-up, and I can star posting data to my website from there, instead of the OSstation.
