A few cloud breaks overnight allowed the temperature to fall low enough for a touch of ground frost. Most of the snow thawed away yesterday so just a few icy patches left this morning. At observation, cloudy and damp.

Turning overcast overnight and the frost lifted. At observation, overcast, less cold, thaw. A cloudy day followed with a steady thaw of lying snow. There was a little light rain through the mid afternoon period. Milder than of late, top temperature 5.5c.

Went out for my daily walk around an hour ago and very pleasant it was too. Dry, and mild (though quite cloudy) and very calm. It would be be nice weather in April let alone the middle of February.
