Hello my lovelies.

It's 8.30pm on a quiet Thursday evening in mid winter, however something is stirring outside in the Central Southern region of ENGLAND. All is not what it seems, it is SNOWING on parts of the South Coast. :clapping:

Now I just need to make you all aware of the following:

Please post all your weather related reports and analysis in here and above all, be friendly to each other. :p

Please also use the following as a guideline to helping others:

  • Firstly, any snow I get is a bonus, given the ridiculously mild winter so far.
  • Secondly, look for falling temperatures ahead of the heavier bursts of precipitation.
  • Thirdly, look for falling dewpoints ahead of the heaviest bursts of precipitation.
  • Fourthly (?), look for physical evidence of snowflakes in the light of the lamp-posts/
  • Fifthly (?), please update fellow members in THIS thread.
  • Sixthly (?), enjoy, eat and drink and post responsibly, no lying or exaggerations please............
  • Seventhly (?), if by Sunday, you can't get out of your front door, you've done well and you're in seventh heaven.

If you have any questions or grievances contact me by PM or any fellow MODS.

Let the fun n games continue.

Your host for tonight, gottolovethisweather :drinks:

Just an update from my location.

I'm in Southampton, near the Nursling area and it's currently snowing. Pretty light (getting heavier by the minute), but it's snow and it's laying on the cars and the road (slight dusting)

Current temperature is -0.3 and falling steadily

DP is -4.9 and it's rising steadily.

Wind direction is coming from the east.

Looking at the radar the heavier stuff is yet to arrive.

Has now been dry here for sometime after, the earlier burst.

Looks like something may be very close from the radar but it all looks very fragmented.

Snowing in Locks Heath!

Greetings from a mile down the road from you where it is also snowing although the flakes are tiny, few and slow-falling. Let's hope it gets heavier eh!

I'm in Westbourne, and we havent had anything here at all....yet! I live in hope. Not helping doing my wedding invites by getting up every 30 seconds to see if its started snowing yet! Keeping fingers crossed...

Oh no :cray: check where the gap is on the radar, oh no :cray: right over my house, meanwhile the replaced temperature sensor is cooling off :good:

Your house as well? :shok:

Mind you, should I miss the potential I can travel up to my local hills if I wish.

SNowing moderately here in Southampton, but very small grains. There has been no melt at all, though, and there is now a dusting on walls and leaves.

-0.5C and falling, DP -4.7C, Humidity 73% and rising.

At last snow again be it very light. That big gap in the radar seems to be drifting further west now. could be in for a few hours of snow now....
