Right here is a new thread for you guys. A very messy set-up, with freezing rain, sleet and snow all very possible today.

What's your thoughts kold for our region out of this event?

Precipitation falling lightly here now and I would say it's more like snow than rain atm. Very surprised. -1.4c

Defo snow now, maybe a bit sleety. I wasn't being hopeful because I was expecting rain anyway. Big flakes now!

Whoop whoop, that bodes well for alot of the region if the coast is getting Snow. And to think the opposite side of the UK where its colder are reporting rain :p

I'm not joking. Small flakes again now, could just be a shower ahead of the front though. Very light now.

It's hard to really tell what it is, sometimes its sort of sleety and other times it's very much like sno. Not doing much at all now.

there is a secondary front that is showing as rain. whereas the first front is snowing as sleet/snow/freezing rain

It was deffonatly doing something, and it wasn't just rain. It was very light though and has stopped now.

Yes, Maybe I shouldn't have said big flakes, but I got excited Snow Is that unusual around here. Its raining now lightly, and it's deffonatly rain!!

seeing the hpa temps and hpa dam have gone a bit better, hasnt convinced me very much though =\

Met office forecast now shows heavy snow for Haslingden from 0900, this is a change from the forecast at 0600.
