Doesn't surprise me at all! Is it actually Snow or are you just being hopeful?

Defo snow now, maybe a bit sleety. I wasn't being hopeful because I was expecting rain anyway. Big flakes now!

Whoop whoop, that bodes well for alot of the region if the coast is getting Snow. And to think the opposite side of the UK where its colder are reporting rain

there is a secondary front that is showing as rain. whereas the first front is snowing as sleet/snow/freezing rain

You must be mistaken it can't be Snowing where you are just checked with relatives.

You said "large flakes" if you saw that it must have been Snow if not you might have been mistaken.

Yes, Maybe I shouldn't have said big flakes, but I got excited Snow Is that unusual around here. Its raining now lightly, and it's deffonatly rain!!

Met office forecast now shows heavy snow for Haslingden from 0900, this is a change from the forecast at 0600.
